Lenovo Corporate Research is now looking for a senior human factor researcher, who will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to create innovative products and experience. This individual will be responsible for leading user research to uncover insights and opportunities to guide design projects. This position will be based in Beijing, China and representing the user perspective in design, which plays an important role to Lenovo products. Responsibilities 1. Participate in user field research and study of all aspects of the way humans related 2. Participate hands-on throughout the design process with other disciplines (industrial design, interaction design, graphical design, and software engineering) 3. Plan and conduct user research to determine users’ physical and cognitive needs. 4. Evaluate design base on individual own expertise 5. Lead and participate in mockup/prototype creation to support design need. Qualifications 1. 5+ years experience in human factors, usability, or design research. 2. Master degree and above in psychology or social science degree (cognitive psychology, sociology, human factors, or anthropology). 3. Candidate must be experienced in user-centered design (UCD) process and user research methodologies. Knowledge or experience on quantitative research is a plus 4. Strong analytical skills: We are looking for people who have strong analytical skills that can quickly provide compelling inspiration to help connect insights to design. 5. Clear presenting the insights, verbally and/or visually, to people with various disciplines; basic spoken and written English required, but higher fluency is a big plus.
