Dell is looking for Usability Engineers who will be responsible for creating and implementing world-class experiences for Dell's hardware and software products. This role involves working closely with Industrial Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams to set the vision for the product experience and then delivering that vision.

Principle Responsibilities:

· Evaluate and solve strategic and tactical product issues

· Drive the overall product experience by deriving requirements from customer insights and translating them into product specifications

· Prioritize and manage multiple programs

· Manage research and UI design firms

· Conduct appropriate customer research (e.g. usability testing, focus groups)

· Apply user-centered design principles

· Recognize usability issues and drive team toward the appropriate resolution of the issue

· Influence product strategy and direction by collaborating with Marketing, Design and Engineering

Required Skills:

· Experience | 5+ years of Usability/HF hardware and software experience, preferably in the PC or consumer electronics sector.

· Education | advanced degree in HCI, Human Factors, Behavioral Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

· Experience developing and testing both hardware and software.

· Experience conducting formal usability testing.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.

· Excellent teamwork skills.
